BizJam 2007
This weekend was the first annual Seattle BizJam, a conference and networking event for small, independent businesses. During the Ignite lightning talk session, I presented some tips on sustainable business practices for the small office. The slides from my talk, Green Hacks for the Small Office, are shared here. The slides list the tips, as well as links pointing you to more information.

Serena,
I heard you speak at the BizJam event and really appreciated your desire to share your insights with small businesses. Often I think smaller businesses want to make a difference but they don’t feel their small amounts of paper or recycled materials or light saving methods will really matter. I liked how you explained that even unplugging appliances or equipment can save massive amounts of energy, when it all adds up. I just sent a client to your site today who helps people organize their spaces. She wants to talk with you about how to make her work more environmentally smart and how to teach her clients about sustainability through use of their work and personal space.
Thanks again for your talk and I hope we’ll meet some day.
